New works by Eeva Peura are on view in the Art Realm ’26 Biennale in Tampere, Finland

The Art Realm ’26 Biennale is open from June 13 to August 16, 2026

Eeva Peura participates in the Art Realm ’26 Biennale with three new works: The Alchemist’s Garden, Field Studies, and Lost Dreams (2026), on view at the Finlayson area in Tampere, Finland.

Peura's paintings are an amalgam of found images, imagined memories, and a contrary mix of painting styles. In contemplating her work, one senses its deep connection with the continuum of art history – yet her imagery remains unmistakably her own, charting a singular creative path. The paintings feature motifs that have recurred in Peura’s recent practice, including gardens, internal organs, plants reflected in water, feathers, starry skies, rippling water, and an abundance of painterly detail.

Eeva Peura graduated as a painting major from the Finnish Academy of Fine Arts in 2011. She has presented her work  in numerous solo and group exhibitions in Finland, including the Mänttä Art Festival and Turku Art Museum. In 2019, she was the recipient of the William Thuring Foundation Prize. Her work is represented in many of Finland’s most prestigious art collections, including the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, Turku Art Museum and Vantaa Art Museum Artsi.

The theme of the second edition of Art Realm ’26 Biennale is Together, encouraging radical imagination and dreaming while exploring how we shape the future collectively. The biennial is organized by Hämeenlinna Art Museum, Tampere Art Museum, and the Lahti Museum of Visual Arts Malva.
